4th meeting,Drafts and font

We've now agreed on the font that'll we'll be using in our calender...we'll be using "you murdered bb" for our calender days and months.

Below are the drafts the group members came up with the font included...by our next meeting we should have decided the general out look of the calender and then we'll proceed to working on our individual months.

Back to work!!! The End Is Near!!! 2012

PROGRESS REPORT!!!

So our progress so far: In our most recent meeting we discussed a sketch that one of our team members had thought up...me actually...the sketch just threw some more light on what we planned to do and also helped put the creative gears in motion... here's the sketch by the way:

(designed by raymond)

This obviously isn't what our final calender will look like but it did help us get an idea of what we were aiming for,in terms of shocking and scary...it's not a master piece but hey, everything starts with a single step.good thing is that we're moving now.

Getting the year template

So we're doing the year 2012,so what we as a group decided to do was download a date and month template for the year 2012 to make sure we got all the dates right.

Suggestion for date, month and year design...

One of the team members brought forward a design she had been working on that would seem fitting to add to our calendar project check it out:

designed by Sol

We found it quite interesting and decided that with a little tweaking here and there it would make an interesting addition to the calender.

So we tried it out on yet another sketch for the calender...and it worked pretty well...

It's looking quite creepy but still not there, the calendar needs to have a sense of togetherness something that links each page to the next.....

Where art though understanding of photoshop???

SMALL ROAD BLOCK!!! hehehe

Found out that we aren't all good at photoshop, including me but the thing is we're all determined to learn so we took some time to help each other this week to gain a little more understanding of the software.

discussing some of the basics of the software to make
 the journey ahead much smoother
It's getting tough i must admit but as the team leader i'll see to it that everyone plays there part and gains something from the group.

"There are times it feels that we aren't moving but that doesn't mean that we've stopped,we just have to keep on pushing forward together and work hard enough to achieve what we want to see come to pass, that is the beauty of working as a team"

ASSIGNING THE MONTHS!!!

Though we are working as a team, individual effort will be required when everyone starts working on there specific months so we decided as a team who was taking which pair of months.

Peter : November & December

Raymond: September & October

Yana: July & August

Ashwan: May & June

Sol: March & April

Nana: January & Febuary

WELCOME TO HIGHLY CLASSIFIED DIGITAL INTELLIGENCE!!

OK this is not exactly classified, it's marginalized intelligence,, what you might find here could be information with extremely vulgar resolution that your family optician might not recommend it for your eyes,, just a piece of advice though it's a joke!! but BEWARE!!,,, keep up the spirit!! INTER-LOKAL for life!!!

THE THEME!!!

So here's the thing, each group had to come up with a unique theme for their calender and after a sufficient amount of brainstorming we decided to go with a "Horror theme"... but wait not just any horror theme...we are picking famous characters from the Horror movie scene to make sure our calender design gives you chills and memories of year you will never forget!!!! hahaha...yup that's right and to make it even more scary we're designing the calender for the year 2012...the end of the world [(so they say) incase anyone out there doesn't really know what the hype around 2012  is]
coming up with the devious yet creative idea...hehehe

Well we all seem comfortable with this theme and hope you won't(hehehe)...that is if you did then we wouldn't have achieved our goal...wish us luck and stay tuned for more

discussing and agreeing on the theme

Who are Interlokal?

Hi there, my name is Raymond Malinga and i'm the group leader for the group "INTERLOKAL"....obviously you can guess that we hardly had any suitable name for our group considering that the group consisted of 3 malaysian girls,a guy from Maldives plus two Ugandan guys....wow...what a combination, but nevertheless it seems to be working well and incase you haven't figured it out yet,is the reason why  we decided to go with "Interlokal"...simply because it has 10 letters,5 spell out inter(short for international) and 5 for lokal (that's how local is spelled here in malaysia...so it seemed conventional)
TO BRIEFLY INTRODUCE OUR GROUP MEMBERS...(drumroll)..:

Niwagaba Peter (Uganda)
sol
Muhamed Ashwan(Maldives
and Me.
So  with that out of the way (hehehe)....i would like to present this blog as the venue that the group will be using to update it's progress on designing our themed calender for our class assingment...Wish us the best and watch this space!!!
